SnappyCab is a family business. We created SnappyCab to make booking a taxi easier for customers, and to help local taxi drivers find more work. It's that simple. So when you book a taxi using the SnappyCab app, your money goes directly to your driver, supports their family, and contributes to your local community.
ONLY LICENSED DRIVERS
All of the drivers listed on SnappyCab are licensed with their local authority. All vehicles are registered and licensed. Unlicensed drivers cannot use the SnappyCab app.

How does it work?
Download. Book. Go. It's as simple as that. Download our free app using the links below. You only need an email and mobile number to create a profile. We'll find the nearest available driver to you and let you know when they'll arrive. You pay the driver directly.
How do you calculate prices?
The fare is calculated by the meter in the taxi. The estimate shown in the app for your journey is based on tariffs in the area of your pick-up set by the local authority. If you're in a rural area we'll also include any extra 'running-out' charges so you know what to expect.
How do I pay?
We don't ask for your payment details. You pay your driver directly using cash or card. Most drivers also take contactless payments such as ApplePay and Google Pay. Your driver will also give you a receipt if you need one.
How do I know who my driver is?
We’ll send you the name of the driver and the vehicle registration, so you can be sure you are getting into the right car.
Can I track my journey?
Yes. Your journey is tracked in real-time from the moment the taxi driver accepts your booking. You can also forward your live location to a friend or family member.
Who do I contact if I have a left something in the taxi?
After your journey we’ll send you full details of your driver and the vehicle you travelled in. We’ll also let you know who to contact in the event of a complaint or lost property.
Why is the wait so long for my taxi?
If all of the taxi drivers near you are busy, then waiting times will be longer than usual. You may also be requesting a pick-up in an area SnappyCab doesn't cover yet. SnappyCab are expanding and adding new taxi drivers to our app every day. If we see an area is popular, we will endeavour to launch SnappyCab there very soon.
Can I leave a review?
Yes! We want to know how you got on. In addition to writing a review, if you didn't like your driver and don't want to use them again, give a 1-star rating and we’ll make sure any of your future bookings aren't offered to them.
The price I paid was different to the estimate
Our app shows a minimum and maximum fare estimate based on local tariffs. The final fare will be calculated using the meter inside your taxi. Taxi meters calculate a fare by using one rate for distance and another for time. For example: if there is no traffic, the fare will only be calculated by distance. If you hit traffic, keep the driver waiting, or change the route, then additional charges will be added by the meter.
If you think you have been charged incorrectly by your driver, you should contact the local licensing authority who will investigate for you.
